Question:


I'm pregnant and just found out I'm HIV+. I need information on HIV/AIDS and pregnancy. Where should I look?

 

To find information on HIV/AIDS and pregnancy, you can begin on the CHAIN Links page.

  1. Scroll down to the MEDLINEplus section and click on AIDS and Pregnancy.
     
  2. Under the General/Overviews section, select HIV and AIDS in Pregnancy (March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation) .

  4. Information on how expectant mothers should be treated as well as what treatment helps prevent HIV/AIDS in babies is discussed.

  6. Return to the General/Overviews section of MEDLINEplus: AIDS and Pregnancy and select Pregnancy and HIV (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) .

  8. Reducing transmission of HIV to infants, as well as special Medicaid coverage for pregnanct women is a sample of the information provided.

  10. Returning to the MEDLINEplus: AIDS and Pregnancy gives you additional access to information on treatment and research being done in regards to HIV/AIDS and pregnancy.
